Job Title: Senior/Principal Civil Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior/Principal Civil Engineer to lead our civils team in Watford. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing projects, attending meetings, and liaising with clients, design teams, and third-party representatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the civils team in Watford, focusing on drainage and infrastructure design, including external works, cut and fill analysis, and some highways design.
  • Work primarily on logistics and distribution centres, managing projects from pre-planning through to construction.
  • Operate as civils team lead, managing projects and liaising with clients, design teams, and third-party representatives.
  • Develop and implement design solutions for large-scale logistics development projects, ensuring compliance with UK design standards.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality projects, meeting client expectations and company objectives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3/4 years' UK experience with an aspiration to gain Incorporated or Chartered status.
  • Experience in civil-related design aspects of large-scale logistics development projects, from pre-planning through to construction.
  • Expertise in highways, external works, earthworks modelling, and drainage design.
  • Proficient in highway and drainage design, bulk earthworks modelling, and familiar with UK design standards.
  • Private sector experience with proficiency in Civil3D, Causeway Flow & Microdrainage, AutoCAD, Autotrack, and Navisworks.
  • PDS line and sign design experience beneficial.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Chartered or near Chartered status (MICE).
  • Varied experience in DCG, SUDS, Micro Drainage, Highways, and Civils 3D design.
