Job Summary

Birkbeck University of London is seeking a talented and forward-thinking individual to join our team as a Digital Education Specialist. As a key member of our Digital Education team, you will play a leading role in the implementation of our new Education Strategy.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled professional with a successful track-record supporting staff in the development of Digital Education. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping us achieve our goal of transforming lives through inspiring teaching that is accessible and inclusive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consult with academic faculty on module design and development
  • Develop learning materials and resources to support teaching and learning
  • Run workshops and training sessions to support staff in the use of digital education tools and technologies
  • Manage projects and initiatives to improve the student experience
  • Design and develop Moodle plugins and other digital education tools

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be adaptable, communicative, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable of the field of digital education. You will also need to be able to work collaboratively with teaching and support staff and the central Digital Education team.

We would expect you to be resident in the UK and able to attend our campus when necessary to support our staff and to attend meetings.

Remuneration

The salary for this role is Grade 07 of the College's London Pay Scale, which is £42,365 rising to £48,424 per annum.
