WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE

LOCATION: CRAWLEY, SUSSEX UK – PERMANENT

Position Overview:

As a Warehouse Operations Associate, you will play a crucial role in overseeing inventory within the stores department. Your focus will be on ensuring compliance with quality control standards to achieve zero defects.

Your responsibilities will include accurately booking goods into the ERP system, maintaining precise stock figures, and organizing items in designated locations to minimize product defects according to internal protocols.

Additionally, you will manage stock levels to ensure all items are accounted for and maintain stock accuracy. You will also be responsible for picking items for production areas and dispatching goods as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and record all incoming goods against supplier delivery notes, placing items in their designated locations.
  • Prepare goods for storage to meet required standards.
  • Input received items into the computer system against purchase orders or manufacturing orders.
  • Process customer returns according to established standards and service level agreements.
  • Immediately inform the Purchasing department of any short deliveries.
  • Report quality issues through the quality control system.
  • Conduct stock takes as per the planned schedule.
  • Update the system with new stock figures.
  • Investigate any discrepancies in stock levels.
  • Escalate any significant discrepancies as necessary.
  • Review processes periodically to enhance stock control.
  • Perform other warehouse duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

Experience in Warehouse and Stock Management is essential.

A forklift license is advantageous but not mandatory.

Proficiency in MS Office is required.

Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems is beneficial.
