Job Title: Senior Analytical Chemist

About the Role:

Campden BRI is a leading research and development organization that supports the food and drink industry. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analytical Chemist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver robust and efficient analytical services within the metals/minerals team.
  • Ensure the provision of relevant and cost-effective services to the food and allied industries.
  • Operate and effectively utilize resources and facilities.
  • Report certificates in line with ISO17025 requirements.
  • Perform technical operations required within a specific process and/or laboratory area.
  • Design and develop methodology using ICP, HPLC or LCMS for a range of analysis for food and drink.
  • Respond to client enquiries relating to testing within the group.
  • Conduct work complying with all relevant policies, rules, methods, procedures and instructions.

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in the field of analytical science.
  • Good knowledge of food science and technology.
  • Good understanding and experience of ICP-MS/OES, HPLC or LCMS appropriate to the investigation of issues relevant to the food and allied industries.
  • Experience as a test signatory under an ISO17025 quality management system.
  • Flexibility to work on many tasks and manage priorities.
  • Well-developed communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Proven effectiveness in managing timely and cost-effective delivery of technical services/research outputs.

We are based in a rural location, so you must have your own transport and be able to reach us. We regret we can't offer Visa sponsorship for this role.
