Position Overview

Red Recruitment 24:7 Ltd is collaborating with a successful Accountancy firm seeking to expand their team by hiring a Senior Tax Consultant.

This is a permanent, full-time position that offers flexible working arrangements, competitive salary, and a comprehensive benefits package within a nurturing work environment.

Key Responsibilities:


Assisting the Tax Director with advisory services and strategic tax planning.

Providing mentorship to junior team members, including reviewing their work and facilitating their professional development.

Staying informed on the latest tax legislation and regulations, disseminating knowledge among tax and accounting personnel.

Handling personal tax and capital gains tax compliance, which includes the preparation, review, and submission of Self-Assessment Tax Returns for high-net-worth individuals, sole proprietors, partners, landlords, and CGT 60-day reports.

Overseeing workflow and tax deadlines, coordinating with client portfolio managers to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.

Collaborating effectively as part of a team.

Required Experience, Skills, and Attributes:


The ideal candidate will be CTA qualified or in the process of qualification, with prior experience in a tax-focused role within an accountancy environment.

Experience in the computation and review of Inheritance Tax, Trusts, and Corporation Tax is advantageous but not mandatory.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and relevant tax matters.

Proficiency in preparing Self-Assessment Tax Returns, corporation tax returns, and P11Ds.

A positive and enthusiastic team player.

Ability to communicate effectively with other departments, such as payroll and bookkeeping.

Excellent organizational skills, with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Willingness to learn from constructive feedback and develop skills within the team.
