About the Role

Sage Intacct is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused User Experience Designer to join our growing Experience Design team. As a key member of our team, you will gain experience in a variety of areas, including design systems, complex workflows, and exposure to different research methodologies to ensure we are keeping customer needs at the center of our design process.

The UX team is part of the Product group, and you will work collaboratively with product owners, engineering leads, research, and documentation to deliver exceptional user experiences. This position requires a high degree of self-motivation, excellent organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to multi-task. Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand goals and design needs of projects.
  2. Collaborate with product managers and other designers to create compelling designs that meet user and business requirements.
  3. Quickly create and iterate on designs using conceptual diagrams, wireframes, and click-through prototypes. Deliver clear, detailed, final design specs.
  4. Create designs using components from the pattern library. Identify new components as needed and work with the UI infrastructure team to get them built.
  5. Effectively communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale, and the specifics of user-centered design processes.
  6. Influence and evolve design standards and guidelines to improve the overall user experience quality across products.
  7. Apply usability heuristics and knowledge of current design best practices to evaluate new and existing features and offer viable suggestions for improvements.
