About the Role

We are seeking a Power Platform Solutions Engineer to join our Technical Data Services business unit. The ideal candidate will deliver solutions using Microsoft technologies such as Power Platform, Office 365, and Azure. You will be part of our Digital Solutions practice, focusing on Content & AI and Process Automation & Integration, supporting Sword Group's energy industry clients in their transition to data & content-driven organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Engagement: Work directly with clients to understand their requirements, design innovative solutions, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Solution Design and Build: Take responsibility for both the design and implementation of solutions or core solution components, ensuring they meet client needs.
  • Technical Development: Develop and maintain technical skills using the latest cloud technologies, achieving and maintaining Microsoft certification, with a focus on delivering and maintaining innovative solutions.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the data engineering and integration team, as well as other business units, to provide comprehensive solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest advancements in Microsoft technologies and data science concepts to continually enhance solution offerings.

Requirements

This role is for ambitious technologists who wish to work with the latest cloud technologies, predominantly Microsoft. We do not expect everyone to have all the required technical expertise listed but it is essential that you have demonstratable experience in key areas and working with Microsoft and Esri tools and components.

  • Microsoft Technologies: Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, AI Builder, Power BI).
  • Programming Skills: Experience with SQL and familiarity with Python, PowerShell, or similar languages.
  • Cloud Experience: Experience with Azure Cloud Platform.
  • Additional Tools: Experience with SharePoint, ArcGIS, and FME is desirable but not essential.
  • An analytical approach to delivering improvements to information-driven workflows
  • Proven experience of delivering digital solutions
  • Understanding of data science concepts, ideally text processing and analytics
  • Good knowledge of information and content management
  • Good knowledge of data governance processes & best practices
  • Knowledge of the oil exploration and production domain would be a distinct advantage
