Volunteer Role
We're seeking volunteers to join our team and help us make a difference in the lives of our residents. As a volunteer, you'll have the opportunity to engage with our residents, build meaningful relationships, and contribute to creating a sense of community in our care homes.
Responsibilities
- Spending quality time with residents, engaging in activities such as:
- Having a cup of tea and going through photos
- Playing or teaching a musical instrument
- Knitting together
- Helping with gardening tasks, such as:
- Potting plants
- Sowing seeds
- Mowing lawns
- Weeding
- Assisting with outdoor activities, including:
- Driving a minibus (requires category D1 on license)
- Getting involved with outdoor games and activities
- Leading art and crafts workshops
- Baking or cooking with residents
- Starting a book or crafts club
Requirements
No previous experience is necessary to become a volunteer in one of our homes. Our application process is simple and straightforward:
- Complete an application form
- Meet with a member of our team to discuss your interests and availability
- Undergo a free enhanced DBS check (if you're 17 years+)
- Attend an induction session to learn more about our home and residents
