Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electronics/Mechatronics Engineer to join our team at Premier Group Recruitment. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, testing, and presenting high-quality electronic and mechatronic components or systems with substantial impact in a commercial organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electronic and mechatronic systems, including hardware development from single PCBs through to functional electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch electronics and mechatronics solutions.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of core electronic engineering principles, including circuit design, digital and analogue electronics, and control systems.
  • Use Altium Designer or equivalent software for PCB design and Solidworks for design of mechanical parts and assemblies.
  • Design integrated electro-mechanical systems and build successful electronic and mechatronic solutions to technical problems.
Requirements
  • 3-5+ years minimum industry experience in electronics design and development.
  • Experience in design, development, testing, and launch of electronics and mechatronics solutions in highly collaborative and cross-functional environments.
  • Strong understanding of core electronic engineering principles, including circuit design, digital and analogue electronics, and control systems.
  • Proficient in PCB design using Altium Designer or equivalent software.
  • Experience with electrical wiring and harness design.
  • Experience of building successful electronic and mechatronic solutions to technical problems.
  • Experience using Solidworks for design of mechanical parts and assemblies.
  • Experience designing integrated electro-mechanical systems.
Nice to Have
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer.
  • Embedded software programming (C/C++) experience.
  • Exposure to testing/scripting with Python.
  • Experience in platform technology companies focused on scientific challenges.
  • Experience with Chemistry.
