Position Overview

Are you a skilled Project Scheduler looking for a new challenge in the nuclear sector? This role is ideal for individuals with a solid understanding of Project Management principles and a desire to apply their planning skills to enhance the nuclear fuel cycle.

Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will:

  • Lead the development and maintenance of the Project Schedule using P6, collaborating closely with discipline leads to align with project control strategies.
  • Ensure timely reporting to project and management teams, showcasing control and progress throughout the design, procurement, and execution phases.
  • Construct a comprehensive project schedule in P6, incorporating detailed fabrication and construction activities along with critical project milestones.
  • Implement quality procedures and methodologies, including change control processes, to maintain project integrity.
  • Monitor and assess program-specific risks, ensuring the project plan is updated in accordance with any agreed changes in scope.
  • Track progress against established plans and schedules, providing status updates to Project Managers and the Planning Team.
  • Participate in project meetings, delivering progress reports to stakeholders and facilitating communication with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Support Quality and Health and Safety objectives throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Project Management or a related discipline.
  • Experience in the Nuclear or Defence sectors, or in other highly regulated industries such as Oil and Gas, Rail, or Pharmaceuticals.
  • A strong grasp of project management theory and the ability to apply various planning techniques to develop complex programs.
  • Proficiency in managing programs using techniques such as Earned Value Management (EVM), critical path analysis, and risk assessment methodologies.
  • The capability to identify and mitigate risks proactively.
  • Strong initiative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
