About the Role:
The Cambian Group is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Support Worker to join our team. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing guidance, support, and encouragement to young people in a variety of settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide physical and emotional support to young people, enabling them to develop and thrive in a stable and caring environment.
- Work collaboratively with the Multi-Disciplinary Team to maintain a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for young people.
- Assist young people with their medical and welfare needs, reporting as required and contributing to the medical audit process.
- Monitor young people's condition, checking temperatures, respiration, weight, and contributing to linked record keeping in the Master Care Plan.
- Help young people maintain their personal cleanliness, general hygiene, and appearance, including intimate care and invasive care as required.
- Keep up to date with and actively promote a variety of communication and information systems.
- Attend and participate in meetings as appropriate.
- Be an effective Keyworker/Personal Tutor for 1 or more young people, providing guidance and support to help them manage their behavior.
- Promote equality, acknowledging young people's differences and upholding their rights and responsibilities.
- Safeguard young people from any form of abuse, reporting any concerns to management promptly.
- Write accurate and comprehensive reports for reviews and keep written records for monitoring purposes.
- Take primary responsibility for a specific area of service development or a specific project.
- Attend all required training and be prepared to achieve qualifications appropriate to the role.
- Actively promote and develop learning while participating in programs, activities, and residential, leisure, and/or classroom situations.
- Attend work reliably and punctually, following a work pattern as required to fulfill the role.
Requirements:
- Level 3 RQF certificate in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
- Ability to carry out effective debriefing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
