How You Will Contribute
An exciting opportunity awaits you to embark on a career in internal auditing, where you will receive support and training to carry out professional audit assignments and enhance the quality of audit services across various council operations. You will engage with clients to identify opportunities for improving service delivery through effective risk management and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in executing a risk-based internal audit strategy for the council and its commercial partners on a daily basis.
- With guidance and training, develop your expertise to become a proficient auditor, mastering the audit process from inception to completion, including report writing and client meetings.
- Utilize your attention to detail to aid in problem-solving, providing advice and support to a diverse range of services within the council.
What We Require
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent), including Mathematics and English, along with at least 2 A Level passes (or equivalent).
- If you possess prior experience in internal auditing and are seeking to advance your career within the council, we encourage you to reach out.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, coupled with a solid level of IT proficiency, are essential.
- Ability to promote a positive representation of the role and the council, with some experience in working independently to achieve results.
