VAT Manager/Assistant Manager

iMultiply Resourcing Ltd is seeking a highly skilled VAT Manager/Assistant Manager to join its VAT advisory team in Scotland's Central Belt. As a key member of the team, you will provide VAT compliance and advisory services to a wide range of clients, ensuring the Firm's quality and risk standards are met.
Key Responsibilities- Provide VAT compliance and advisory services to clients, including special assignments on an ad hoc basis.
- Ensure the Firm's quality control procedures are adhered to, and the Firm's professional standards are met.
- Develop professional relationships with clients and within the Firm, adapting the approach for the relevant audience.
- Manage a portfolio of clients, including client take on and engagement, billings and recovery rates, and debt management.
- Act as a key point of contact within the Firm for clients, responding quickly to and anticipating client requests/needs.
- Take full responsibility for project delivery on the portfolio, ensuring assignments are completed within agreed budgets.
- Liaise with HMRC and other stakeholders.
- Self-develop and continue professional education to progress within the Firm.
- Support, train, mentor, and advise others in your area.
- An in-depth, up-to-date knowledge of VAT and the ability to deal with complex issues.
- Project and staff management experience.
- Ability to manage a client portfolio profitably and actively seek and develop opportunities for both existing clients and new clients.
- Experience of dealing with client senior management and HMRC.
- Educated to degree level and/or CTA and/or ACA qualified or equivalent.
- Demonstrable post-qualified experience.
