Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Biomedical Scientist to join our Pathology team at Nuffield Health Glasgow Hospital. As a Senior Biomedical Scientist, you will be responsible for delivering quality pathology services, including performing biomedical diagnostic testing, interpretation, and reporting. You will also be involved in quality control, record-keeping, and validation of new equipment and diagnostic procedures.

About the Role

  • Perform biomedical diagnostic testing, interpretation, and reporting in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
  • Contribute to quality control and record-keeping processes to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Validate and assess new equipment and diagnostic procedures to maintain high standards of service.
  • Collaborate with the Pathology team to deliver excellent patient care and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Registration with the HCPC.
  • Relevant laboratory experience in Haematology and Blood Transfusion biomedical science.
  • Good working knowledge of different analytical equipment and multi-disciplinary techniques.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
