Quantity Surveyor Role

PSR Solutions is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial team on a permanent basis. This role will be based in the South of Birmingham and involve working on Residential groundworks projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform closeout processes to ensure contract terms are met and payments are verified.
  • Work with the project team to evaluate the impact of budget changes.
  • Ensure commercial accountabilities are undertaken in a timely manner with high accuracy.
  • Prepare and review tenders with estimators and assist with understanding client requirements for value engineering.
  • Review and validate weekly cost monitors, comparing forecasted costs with actual costs.
  • Forecast monthly and annual profit figures, ensuring figures are maintained throughout the project's lifetime.
  • Allocate work to sub-contractors, including assistance with procurement when required.
  • Undertake site visits to administer the contract in line with project progress.
Requirements:
  • BSc in Quantity Surveying or a similar commercial-related course.
  • Highly computer literate, including Microsoft Office, and confident in managing and working with large data sets.
  • Residential Groundworks background is ideal.
  • Professional membership of an appropriate body.
  • Good data interrogation skills.
  • Bid knowledge.
  • Excellent legal/contractual knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Valid driving license.
Benefits:
  • Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 DOE.
  • Based in South Birmingham.
