About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physiotherapist to join our Acute Medicine and Oncology team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. As a Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality rehabilitation services to our diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the coordination of acute rehabilitation for complex patients on Acute Medicine and Oncology
- Manage patient caseloads, including those with neurological diagnoses
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to maintain optimal patient flow and timely discharging of patients
- Develop and deliver individualized treatment programs for patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions
Requirements
- Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent
- Health Professions Council Registration
- Respiratory competence
- Postgraduate clinical experience in relevant core areas and specialist rotations
- Proven relevant clinical experience in the management of respiratory conditions
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
- Broad experience in core physiotherapy specialties, including medicine, surgery, acute rehabilitation, neurology, and intensive care
- Experience in clinical education and development of basic supervision skills
- Experience in audit and research within physiotherapy or as part of the multidisciplinary team
