We are seeking a skilled Light Vehicle Technician to join our team as a PDI Inspection Technician in a leading vehicle manufacturer in Tilbury, Essex.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Light Vehicle Technician to conduct pre-delivery inspections on new vehicles, perform minor mechanical and electrical repairs, and ensure all safety features are functioning correctly.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough pre-delivery inspections on new vehicles to ensure they meet the manufacturer's standards.
  • Perform minor mechanical and electrical repairs to vehicles as required.
  • Verify that all safety features, including airbags, anti-lock braking systems, and electronic stability control, are functioning correctly.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of vehicles to the highest standards.
  • Install additional equipment or accessories as required.
  • Keep accurate records of inspections and repairs, including documentation of any issues or defects found.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Light Vehicle Technician is essential.
  • Hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components, including electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
  • IMI or C&G qualifications of Level 3 or equivalent are desirable.
