About the Role

DiverseJobsMatter is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our Data Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading data science initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development, maintenance, and deployment of machine learning models and AI projects across the company.
  • Promote the value of data-driven decision-making throughout the organization and inspire teams to leverage data science.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest data science and machine learning technologies and integrate innovative tools and techniques into our data environment.
  • Lead on the development of next-generation machine learning initiatives and serve as the main point of contact for data science technologies.
  • Utilize large language models to develop innovative solutions and encourage continuous learning by staying up-to-date with relevant courses and certifications.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable professional experience working within data science and data analysis.
  • A high-level knowledge of Python/Scala and SQL, plus over 3 years' experience in developing machine learning models.
  • Knowledge and experience of data science libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, matplotlib, seaborn, TensorFlow, Torch, pySpark ML, MLFlow, or other model lifecycle management tools.
  • Experience in developing ML models and understanding key concepts including regression, clustering, classification, and architectures such as neural networks.
  • Interpreting results and communicating them effectively to stakeholders.
  • Experience with data visualization packages such as Power BI/Tableau.
  • Experience working with large and complex data sets.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience using Databricks.
  • Experience using Apache Spark/pySpark.
  • Experience utilizing Generative AI models and LLMs, as well as repositories such as Hugging Face.
