Junior Bookkeeper Opportunity

TPF Recruitment, a leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, is seeking a skilled Junior Bookkeeper to join a dynamic local accountancy practice in Faversham, Kent. As a Junior Bookkeeper, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in bookkeeping, management accounts, and VAT.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Entry: Accurately enter financial transactions into our accounting system, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, adhering to company standards and regulations.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling bank statements with our records, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Invoice Processing: Help prepare, send, and track invoices, ensuring timely payment and efficient cash flow.
  • Expense Tracking: Record and document expenses efficiently, maintaining accurate records for financial reporting.
  • Payroll Support: Assist with payroll data entry and verification, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Financial Reporting: Help generate basic financial reports for review by senior staff, providing insights into company performance.
Requirements:
  • AAT studying, qualified, or qualified by experience.
  • 6-18 months of accountancy practice experience.
  • Strong Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks software experience.
  • Good knowledge of Excel.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure with limited supervision.
