About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader Driver to join our Recycling Department. As a Team Leader Driver, you will be responsible for supervising allocated staff and overseeing the safe use of vehicles, plant, and machinery. You will also be responsible for the direction of the work of trainees, agency staff, and other employees assigned to you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a team of drivers and recycling operatives
  • Oversee the safe operation of vehicles, plant, and machinery
  • Direct the work of trainees, agency staff, and other employees
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Monitor and report on team performance and productivity
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in a waste management or recycling environment
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures
