We are seeking a highly skilled Building Standards Surveyor to join our team at Glasgow City Council. As a key member of our Building Standards team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that buildings in Glasgow meet the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional support to the Building Standards team, contributing to the successful delivery of Council and service targets, objectives, and national Performance Framework criteria.
  • Monitor personal workload and maintain appropriate records to achieve appropriate performance indicators and timescales.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure that building standards are met, and that any issues or concerns are addressed promptly.

Requirements

  • Full Member of MRICS, MCIOB, MBENG, or equivalent construction-related professional institute.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and the public.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
