About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Research Analyst to join our team at Verdantix. As a key member of our research team, you will play a pivotal role in providing our clients with informed insights on how to manage the energy transition and decarbonize their assets and business.

As a Sustainability Research Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting research on net zero and decarbonization-related software and services, as well as undertaking research interviews with senior managers at corporations and financial firms. You will also be expected to build quantitative models to size and forecast software and services markets, and to write high-quality research documents in English.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research on net zero and decarbonization-related software and services
  • Undertake research interviews with senior managers at corporations and financial firms
  • Build quantitative models to size and forecast software and services markets
  • Write high-quality research documents in English
  • Support client workshops and consulting projects
  • Work on consulting projects relating to net zero and decarbonization growth strategies and product marketing thought leadership
  • Attend industry events to raise the profile of Verdantix in the market
  • Support marketing efforts by writing blogs and engaging in social media activities
Requirements
  • Educated to undergraduate level with a preference for top-tier universities
  • 2 or more years of experience working on energy management, decarbonization or energy transition-related strategy at a consulting, research, or technology firm
  • Experience in conducting research interviews and contributing to the development of research reports is a plus
  • Broader interest in the future of net zero and decarbonization
  • Existing subject matter expertise on how firms develop strategies to change their energy mix, make business cases for capital investments that decarbonize fixed assets, and work with software and services partners to implement decarbonization plans
  • Ability to articulate an informed view of the factors that will influence firms' energy transition decisions over the next ten years
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems and come up with new ideas
