About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our finance team at Reed. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing debt collection, chasing overdue accounts, and establishing strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Debt Collection and Management: Chase overdue accounts, monitor payment patterns, and minimize potential bad debt.
  • Customer Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure effective debt collection and provide excellent customer service.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and identify potential risks to the business.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including sales and customer service teams, to resolve stock and pricing issues.
Requirements
  • Professional Qualifications: AAT or equivalent working experience, GCSE pass in Math and English language.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft tools, especially Outlook and Excel, knowledge of filing systems, and proficiency in the English language.
  • Experience: Direct experience as a Credit Controller with a solid finance background, experience with EDI (portals) for invoice processing, and good numeracy skills.
  • Personal Qualities: Analytical mind, ability to work well under pressure, multitask, and excellent communication skills.
