The Critical Care Transport Paramedic (CCT-P) plays a vital role in providing both emergency and non-emergency medical services. As a certified Pennsylvania Critical Care Paramedic, you will ensure safe and efficient patient care during pre-hospital and inter-facility transport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver basic, advanced, and critical care life support to patients at various locations, adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Evaluate the severity of injuries or illnesses to determine appropriate medical interventions.
  • Utilize effective rescue techniques to assist victims in emergencies.
  • Administer treatment to patients in accordance with established medical standards.
  • Coordinate with healthcare professionals to facilitate ongoing patient care and transport arrangements.
  • Maintain scene safety and manage crowd control as necessary.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
  • Comply with legal and ethical standards in all aspects of patient care.
  • Safely operate emergency vehicles in accordance with state laws and organizational policies.

Physical and Sensory Requirements:

This role requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, as well as the capability to lift and carry heavy objects. Effective communication skills are essential, including the ability to articulate clearly in stressful situations.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma is required, along with certification as a Critical Care Paramedic. Candidates should possess current certifications in BCLS, PALS, ACLS, and other relevant training. A valid driver's license and adherence to traffic laws are mandatory.
