About the Role

The Discipline Manager Piping, Valves and Connectors is a critical position within the Design & Analysis Team at Subsea 7. This role involves a unique blend of discipline management and technical expertise, requiring a strong understanding of piping design, pipe stress analysis, and component selection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Delivery: Develop and deliver technical design scopes relevant to the discipline, ensuring compliance with the Business Management System.
  • Technical Risk Management: Identify, mitigate, and manage technical risk, participating in project reviews as required.
  • Document Review and Validation: Review and validate project technical documents, ensuring compliance with project budget, schedule, and legislative requirements.
  • Knowledge Management: Maintain past project knowledge, discipline standards, and technical skills, improving team efficiency and predictability.
  • Team Management: Support the Senior Discipline Manager in resource planning, training, and development processes, and manage team members to achieve project goals.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in piping design for subsea structures, pipe stress analysis, component selection, and piping materials.
  • Strong knowledge of design codes and analysis techniques.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to identify cost, risk, and opportunity.
  • Excellent communication and interface management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
