Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager - Operations to join our team at Project People. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
    • Develop and manage budgets and forecasts for overheads and non-operational capex, working closely with senior leadership and budget holders to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
    • Provide regular financial analysis and insights to inform business decisions.
  • Financial Accounting and Reporting
    • Ensure timely and accurate month-end close and reporting for overheads and IT capex, in line with company timetables.
    • Develop and maintain effective financial reporting and analysis processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
    • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure accurate financial records.
  • Finance
    • Manage payroll processing, including liaison with external suppliers.
    • Support the HR team with Short Term Incentive Plan and Long Term Incentive Plan calculations.
    • Coordinate with external professional services firms to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
    • Manage and calculate provisions for significant legal disputes.
    • Provide ad-hoc financial support, including employee tax compliance and liaison with external suppliers.
    Requirements
    • Fully qualified (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA)
    • Minimum of 5 years PQE
    • Business partnering experience at a senior level
    • Strong financial and management accounting knowledge and experience
    • Experience in budgeting and forecasting processes
    • Understanding of operational finance processes and control
