Responsibilities:
Our client, a pharmaceutical organisation, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their team in Perth. As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in collecting and processing samples for testing. With a focus on maintaining quality, you will perform pH and microbiological testing on various samples, strictly following the ISO 17025 & 13485/9001 Quality Management Systems.
You will be responsible for reporting any non-conforming results to the QC Team Leader or Quality Manager, ensuring all lab work complies with UKAS and other regulatory standards. Additionally, you will perform contamination checks and physical assessments of media, contributing to the organisation's commitment to quality assurance.
To excel in this role, you must have a minimum BSc in Microbiology or a related field, or equivalent experience. Demonstrated experience working in a laboratory environment is advantageous. Knowledge of ISO 17025 testing procedures and proficiency in aseptic technique and fundamental pipetting techniques are necessary. Familiarity with contamination checks, pH, conductivity, membrane filtration, and media fertility testing will be highly beneficial.
