About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Science Academic Mentor to join our team at a large Secondary School in Barnet. As a Science Academic Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students from Year 7 to Year 13 in achieving their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist students in a classroom setting, in 1:1 meetings, or small group interventions
  • Work with high achieving students as well as students who aren't quite hitting their targets, providing the same level of care and attention to their work
  • Support students in developing their scientific knowledge and skills
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to deliver a high-quality education
Requirements
  • Good Science Degree from a Top 25 UK University
  • Interest in enrolling in a Teacher Training Programme, a PGCE, or working with children in the future
  • Ability to teach engaging lessons to students up to KS5
  • Passion for teaching students from a range of backgrounds in a diverse and inclusive environment
