About the Role

Morrison Energy Services is seeking an experienced Project Estimator to join our team. As a Project Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the preparation of tender submissions for high voltage power line and substation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of tender documentation, including project scope, site information, and contract requirements.
  2. Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring that all stakeholders are aware of potential issues and their impact on the project.
  3. Collaborate with the bids manager to prepare kick-off meetings and bids programmes, ensuring that all necessary information is gathered and presented effectively.
  4. Work closely with procurement and commercial departments to prepare supply chain request for quotation information packs, ensuring that all necessary information is gathered and presented effectively.
  5. Prepare and present tender prices to senior management and internal stakeholders, ensuring that all necessary information is presented clearly and concisely.
  6. Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that all communication is clear, concise, and effective.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 3 years' experience in an infrastructure estimating role, with a strong understanding of high voltage power line and substation projects.
  2. Excellent mathematical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and apply complex data.
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines, with a strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  5. Basic understanding of engineering and construction technology, with the ability to read and understand engineering specifications and drawings.
