Job Summary:
Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Flood Risk Consultant to join our team. As a Principal Flood Risk Consultant, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in completing Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies, and Drainage Designs using Microdrainage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of engineers in completing Flood Risk Assessments for flood zones 1, 2, and 3.
- Develop Surface Water Management Plans.
- Design and implement Drainage Strategies and detailed Residential Drainage and Sewerage Design using AutoCAD and Microdrainage.
- Conduct Drainage Area Planning.
- Manage projects and mentor team members.
- Communicate with clients to discuss project progress.
Requirements:
- Strong academic background in a relevant discipline, including a BSc/BEng and/or MSc/MEng in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, or Environmental Management.
- Experience working for a UK-based consultancy completing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies.
- Residency in Kent is beneficial.
- Experience with microdrainage or flow design is advantageous.
