Electrical CAD and Field Service Engineer Opportunity

Permanent Position

Location: Somerset

Salary: Up to £45,000 DOE + Bonus + Company Pension Plan

Working Hours: Monday to Friday

BMR Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Design and Field Service Engineer to join their team in Somerset. The successful candidate will provide technical support to the sales team, prepare quotations, and undertake fault finding and electrical/mechanical repairs as needed.

The ideal candidate will have experience using computer design packages such as AutoCAD to create technical drawings and will be able to work independently on site. The role will involve configuring and testing equipment, checking and approving drawings for production, and providing technical support to other departments and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare quotations and technical drawings
  • Update and refine old drawings
  • Configure and test equipment before it leaves the workshop
  • Check and approve drawings for production
  • Provide technical support to other departments and customers
  • Carry out site surveys prior to installation and as part of fault finding
  • Provide fault finding and system training to customers
  • Carry out fault finding and electrical/mechanical repairs

Requirements:

  • Electrical Qualification
  • Experience using computer design packages such as AutoCAD
  • Experience working independently on site
  • Able to travel and work away from home occasionally
