Position Overview:
A Senior Quantity Surveyor specializing in MEP is sought to join a leading Principal Contractor on a significant rail infrastructure project. This is a permanent opportunity offering flexible and hybrid working arrangements.

Location:
North West London (Acton/Old Oak Common)

Compensation:
Competitive salary starting from £65K, along with a car allowance and a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will oversee the commercial aspects of MEP fit-out across various project packages. Responsibilities include:
  • Managing the administration of main contracts and subcontracts.
  • Overseeing supply chain management and contract administration.
  • Implementing commercial document control processes.
  • Conducting cost capture and control, including the completion of cost reports.
  • Preparing commercial reports and managing planning and program activities.
  • Drafting and reviewing subcontract works information and tender documentation.
  • Creating and assessing subcontract pricing schedules and variations.
  • Ensuring consistency in tender documentation with project requirements.

Required Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A postgraduate background in commercial roles within the construction sector, with a proven track record.
  • Experience with NEC contracts.
  • Strong financial and commercial insight.
  • Excellent negotiation and teamwork abilities, with a focus on motivating and leading teams.
  • Extensive experience in drafting contractual correspondence and facilitating collaborative solutions.
  • Proficiency in establishing office management systems, including document control.
  • Experience in technical minute-taking during contractual meetings and preparing financial reports.
  • Solid understanding of legal, contractual, and construction principles.
  • Experience in developing procurement and contract strategies.
  • A strategic and innovative approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and a methodical work ethic.
