Position: Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - Special Educational Needs

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As an LSA for Special Educational Needs, you will play a vital role in providing personalized support to students with diverse learning challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering Individualized Support: Provide tailored assistance to students with complex needs in academic settings, promoting their learning and well-being.
  • Personal Care and Mobility Support: Assist students with personal care and mobility tasks as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Customized Education Plans: Collaborate with educators and specialists to implement customized education plans and behavior management strategies, meeting the unique requirements of each student.
  • Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to create a supportive learning environment that fosters inclusivity and growth.

Requirements:

  • Experience and Skills: Experience working with students with special educational needs or a willingness to develop skills in this area, combined with effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Empathy and Patience: Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a positive approach to supporting students' well-being and learning journey.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to adapt to the diverse needs of students and the school environment, ensuring a seamless and supportive experience.
