Community Housing Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Housing Officer to join our team at Johnnie Johnson Housing Trust. As a Community Housing Officer, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding services to our customers, working closely with residents, colleagues, and external partners to achieve our mission of helping all our customers to live longer and live better, in a place that they are proud to call home.
Key Responsibilities- Engage with residents on a day-to-day basis, gaining a deep understanding of their needs and priorities to develop outcome-focused action plans.
- Support the development of sustainable communities so that residents can live, grow, and thrive together through the delivery of community engagement and health and wellbeing activities.
- Use your knowledge of voids, lettings, income collection, anti-social behaviour, and tenancy management to deliver a responsive and sensitive service to those who are at risk, making referrals where appropriate to relevant agencies.
We are looking for someone who has previous experience in a similar role, however this is not essential. What is essential is that you are a great communicator, have great customer service experience, and put customers at the heart of everything you do. You will enjoy a challenge, be adaptable, and embrace change, and have the ability to develop partnerships to support vulnerable residents.
What We Offer- A 35-hour working week, with a degree of flexibility to attend important things in life.
- A fantastic holiday allowance of 33 days per annum (including statutory holidays), rising to 38 days after 5 years' service.
