Location: Surrey (Remote 3 days a week)

About the Role:

We are excited to bring you an opportunity to partner with a globally leading technology company specialising in R&D. As a Senior Game Optimisation Engineer, you will be joining a department that focuses on gaming ecosystem and supporting the tech company and video game partners to optimise their products on their platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing plugins, Android APIs and demos to support and improve the performance of video games on their platforms
  • Working closely with game companies and providing them with actionable insights on how to better optimise their games for the client's devices
  • Studying how to improve the performance of apps on their platforms, particularly focusing on CPUs

Requirements:

  • A degree in a related field such as a STEM subject
  • Experience in game engine optimisation, particularly Unity, Unreal Engine or similar
  • A background in supporting game or tech companies with video game optimisation
  • Strong modern C++ skills
  • Experience working with Android development (Perfetto, ADB, Gradle)
  • Java and/or C# would be a bonus

What We Offer:

  • 6 month initial contract with extensions very likely
  • Opportunity to travel the world for 2 weeks at a time to destinations in Europe, North America and Asia
