About the Role
As an Employment Advisor at Maximus, you will play a vital role in helping individuals overcome barriers to employment and achieve their career goals. You will work directly with a caseload of customers, providing personalized support and guidance to equip them with the necessary skills and confidence to secure and sustain employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of customers using a variety of coaching strategies to prepare them for interviews and job searching.
- Undertake in-depth assessments to fully understand a customer's circumstances, preferences, and barriers to progression.
- Co-produce personalized, tailored action plans with sequenced interventions and development opportunities.
- Use an integration framework of local specialist services to obtain support for customers' specific issues.
- Identify recruitment needs of employers and undertake tailored pre-screens and group assessments.
- Co-produce effective in-work support plans with participants and employers.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to ensure excellent customer service.
- Comply with company policies, including those for personal data security, safeguarding, and health & safety.
Requirements
- Customer-focused with a strong commitment to customer care.
- A strong team player with a positive and flexible approach to work and colleagues.
- Previous experience of working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Previous experience of delivering services to meet contractual and quality standards.
- Fully IT literate in using Microsoft Office and modern digital technologies.
- Strong communicator with the ability to listen, question, and build relationships.
- Demonstrable creative problem-solving skills and a positive approach to overcoming barriers.
- Able to plan and organize workload to meet required targets and deadlines.
