Job Title: Engineering Department Manager

At Natures Way Foods Ltd, we are seeking an experienced Engineering Department Manager to oversee and supervise our Engineering Team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading manufacturer of prepared salads, coleslaw, and food-to-go products for supermarkets and retailers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and develop a team of engineers to deliver an effective service to internal colleagues.
  • Support the running of a safe, profitable, and efficient food manufacturing plant, aligned to internal customer objectives.
  • Provide impactful management of the Engineering department, delivering an effective engineering/maintenance department.
  • Play an active role in the delivery of the continuous improvement programme for the site.
  • Continuously identify ways to reduce cost and improve standards, ensuring full stakeholder engagement throughout.
Requirements:
  • Recognised electrical qualification.
  • Extensive experience within a fast-paced industrial engineering environment.
  • People management experience.
  • Working understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
  • Strong communicator (written & verbal).
  • IT literate.
  • Degree level qualification preferred, but not essential, time served with proven engineering track record is adequate.
  • Experience managing teams within a FMCG based manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrates good business acumen, able to analyse and interpret data and identify trends.
  • Project and time management skills.
