Job Title: Electrical Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Textron Specialized Vehicles. As an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of new hybrid and electric-powered turf care equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to Operations teams to ensure production targets are met;
  • Develop testing methods and procedures for new electric/hybrid vehicles and components;
  • Diagnose and document faults on vehicles involving (but not limited to) Micro-Controllers, inductive sensors, DC/AC motors, DC generators, converters, linear actuators, complex electrical harnesses, and CAN-bus;
  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures across all areas of responsibility;
  • Support in the development of line layouts to suit assembly of electric vehicles and mixed power train lines;
  • Implement robust root cause corrective action techniques;
  • Identify opportunities for investment that will improve manufacturing output;
  • Aid in the generation of PFMEA's for components and assemblies;
  • Comply with and actively promote health and safety guidelines, internal policies, and any other applicable policies and regulations;
  • Other duties as required.
Requirements:
  • You should be enrolled on a Bachelor's/Integrated Master's Degree or equivalent in Manufacturing Engineering (with Electrical/Electronic modules) or Electrical Engineering;
  • Experience with hybrid/pure electric vehicles or equipment is desirable;
  • Self-motivating and able to work with low levels of supervision;
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
