Endoscopy Nurse Specialist

About the Role
18 Week Support Limited is seeking a skilled Endoscopy Nurse to join our team in the West Midlands region. As an Endoscopy Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our clinical insourcing services.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as part of a dynamic team to deliver exceptional patient care in an acute Endoscopy Unit setting.
- Manage and participate in emergency situations and GI bleeds, utilizing your expertise and experience to ensure patient safety.
- Assist in therapeutic emergencies and administer IV medication and fluids as needed.
- Identify and escalate deteriorating patients, providing timely interventions to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe and efficient work environment, utilizing your initiative and experience to adapt to changing situations.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an acute Endoscopy Unit setting.
- Competent Endoscopy Nurse with the ability to manage emergency situations and GI bleeds.
- Ability to work in unfamiliar environments, utilizing initiative and experience to ensure patient care.
- Ability to administer IV medication and fluids, as well as identify and escalate deteriorating patients.
- Desirable qualifications include Endoscopy based training, ability to gain IV access, and mentorship course completion.
