Position Overview:

  • Ensure the upkeep and repair of all machinery and equipment to guarantee uninterrupted service delivery.
  • Supervise the activities of contract and service engineers.
  • Conduct necessary weekly evaluations to maintain sterilizers and washers.
  • Notify the National Maintenance Manager of any alterations in machine cycle profiles.
  • Service equipment prior to quarterly and annual validations.
  • Coordinate the annual validation of plant machinery.
  • Ensure compliance of machinery with the Medical Devices Directive.
  • Maintain validation and calibration certifications for Medical Device Directive registration.
  • Manage the inventory of spare parts and tools.
  • Engage in Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) inspections and maintenance on a weekly basis.
  • Participate in the on-call maintenance rota.
  • Travel to various sites within the organization as required.
  • Contribute to innovation, continuous improvement, and the adoption of best practices.
  • Engage in staff development and training programs.
  • Participate in the Synergy Health Performance Management System.

Qualifications:

  • Apprentice-trained engineer or equivalent qualifications.
  • A minimum of 2 years of engineering experience in Facilities or Manufacturing settings.
  • Qualified in mechanical or electrical disciplines.
  • Possession of a full UK driving license with a maximum of 3 penalty points.
