Control Systems Engineer for Aircraft Testing

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Test Rig Control Systems & Data Acquisition Engineer for a significant contract opportunity.

In this role, you will be an integral part of the Structures Test Team at the Aerospace Integrated Research and Test Centre, focusing on the evaluation of structural technologies related to advanced aerospace projects.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver specialized expertise in industrial control systems and test data acquisition.
  • Engage in both practical laboratory work and office-based tasks.
  • Apply knowledge of hydraulics, particularly in servo-hydraulic control systems.
  • Assist in the execution of structural tests as needed.
  • Communicate progress effectively to team leaders and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate contributions from various internal and external parties.
  • Identify and manage potential risks and opportunities.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to quality assurance processes.
  • Support the development of training materials and methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations through risk assessments and safe work systems.

Essential Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a background in control systems engineering or a related field, such as Aerospace, Electrical, Systems, Mechanical, or Physics.


Experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years in project delivery, focusing on time, cost, and quality.
  • Expertise in one of the following areas: Instrumentation, control systems, data acquisition, or hydraulic control.

Desired Skills:
  • Innovative mindset with a willingness to embrace new ideas.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and G Suite applications.

Language Proficiency:

Negotiation level English is required.
