About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer to work on a long-term contract basis with a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing foundations that retain structures and earthworks, building and maintaining relationships with clients and other professionals, and maintaining safety standards on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement geotechnical solutions for construction projects
  • Collaborate with clients and other stakeholders to ensure project success
  • Conduct site investigations and risk assessments to identify potential hazards
  • Develop and implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
  • Liaise with contractors and other site professionals to ensure project delivery

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in geotechnical engineering, preferably in a site-based role
  • Strong technical design skills and knowledge of geotechnical software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous experience working on large-scale construction projects, preferably in the transportation sector
