Audit Semi Senior Job Opportunity

We are delighted to be representing a leading independent audit and accounting firm located in a picturesque town. The successful candidate will be familiar in supporting the team to conduct audit engagements for a variety of clients in accordance with relevant auditing standards. You'll have UK practice experience and be open to commencing your ACA/ACCA study or you may already have begun.

You will be comfortable collaborating with clients and colleagues to gather necessary information and resolve any audit-related queries and you'll be a great level of support to the senior audit team.

This role offers heaps of potential to learn and really make a start on your defined pathway of progression as a successful auditor in public practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the delivery of audit assignments from planning to completion, working closely with senior team members.
  • Review statutory accounts, corporation tax computations and returns.
  • Preparation of reports to be presented by Directors during client meetings.
  • Support junior staff by reviewing work and overseeing workflow.
  • Liaise directly with clients, building strong rapport and proactively handling queries.
  • Work to client expectations, budgets, and deadlines.
  • Promote services to existing and prospective clients.
  • Champion your own professional development, proactively learning from the experienced team.
  • Supporting the wider firm with ad hoc duties as needed.

The Successful Applicant:
  • ACCA or ACA studying or ready to begin, with previous experience within practice
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Sound IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office
  • Self-motivated and reliable who is eager to progress
  • A strong work ethic, time management and organisational skills
  • Enthusiasm to learn from an experienced team
  • Proactive problem solver with a keen eye for detail
  • Able to work confidently with senior team members
