About the Role

The Aurora Group is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in the South West region. As a key member of our therapy service, you will work across two of our specialist schools, providing high-quality occupational therapy assessment and intervention to children and young people with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide autonomous assessment and intervention to children with a wide range of additional needs, including autistic spectrum conditions, sensory and attachment difficulties.
  • Analyse and interpret assessments to recommend and deliver the best course of intervention for each child.
  • Support individual development and care plans, and assist individuals in accordance with their needs and wishes.
  • Formulate, evaluate and review individualised occupational therapy treatment plans, using clinical reasoning skills and utilising a wide range of treatment options.
  • Demonstrate sound understanding of clinical governance and clinical risk, and utilise evidence-based treatment plans.

Requirements

  • Professional and legal accountability for all aspects of your work, including the management of young people in your care.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage a caseload of children with complex needs.
  • Strong understanding of clinical governance and clinical risk.
