Tree Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tree Officer to join our team at Leicestershire County Council. As a key member of our urban forestry team, you will be responsible for conducting tree surveys and inspections, identifying hazardous trees or branches, and coordinating tree maintenance and planting programs.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct regular tree surveys and inspections to assess tree health, stability, and risk potential.
- Identify and prioritize hazardous trees or branches that pose a risk to public safety.
- Oversee and coordinate tree maintenance and planting programs, working with contractors or in-house teams.
- Contribute to the development of local authority tree strategies and policies.
- Provide expert advice on arboriculture, including tree biology, identification, care, and management practices.
- Level 4 certificate in Arboriculture.
- Extensive experience as a Tree Officer.
- Knowledge of tree inspections and recommendations.
- DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity.
