Job Title: Cardiologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiologist to join our team at National Locums. As a Cardiologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our cardiology services.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement invasive cardiology services
  • Contribute to the general cardiology outpatient service
  • Provide telephonic and email support for primary and secondary clinicians
  • Assist in the support, mentorship, and clinical oversight of cardiac physiologists and nursing colleagues
  • Provide education and support for medical, nursing, and allied health professional colleagues
  • See cardiology inpatient referrals

The new interventional suite will bring our services up to full operating capacity, allowing more patients to receive cardiology treatments such as coronary angioplasty, catheterisation to treat artery blockages, and minimally invasive replacement of heart valves.

In parallel, existing Philips systems within the hospital will be upgraded with the latest technology, including the replacement of equipment in two X-ray rooms, a fluoroscopy room for real-time moving X-ray imagery, and ultrasound systems. As part of the agreement, a new CT system will be introduced to reduce downtime and delays in diagnostics while creating opportunities for the cardiology and radiology teams to further expand services.
