We are looking for a Financial Reporting Specialist to join a prominent asset servicing organization in Europe. This position is vital to our UK operations, encompassing both the UK Branch and UK Subsidiary, and provides the chance to collaborate with global teams. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in financial and regulatory reporting, management reporting, and financial oversight.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare regulatory submissions to the FCA, BOE, and other governing entities.
- Generate financial reports for the Bank Finance and French regulatory authorities.
- Assist in formulating the annual budget, reforecasts, and monthly management reports.
- Ensure precise accounting treatment of transactions and accuracy of profit and loss statements.
- Review and assess the balance sheet, including miscellaneous and suspense accounts.
- Oversee internal management control reporting and aid in quarterly group reporting.
- Manage the coding and processing of supplier invoices, recording of accounting entries, and general expense oversight.
- Support UK client invoicing and the settlement of third-party invoices.
- Assist in the calculation of Quarterly VAT Returns and coordinate with the tax team for relevant tax filings.
- Degree level education.
- Accounting qualification and experience with UK financial regulations.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a comparable role within a UK banking environment.
- Understanding of financial services, profit and loss, balance sheet, and IFRS.
- Experience in statutory accounting and BOE reporting.
- Familiarity with UK Banking Regulations (PRA, FCA, and Basel III).
- Strong analytical abilities and proficiency in Excel.
- Excellent communication skills and the capacity to collaborate effectively within a team.
- French language skills are advantageous.
