About the Role

Fortem Solutions Limited is excited to announce an opportunity for a skilled Site Operations Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This position will be based in Birmingham, with responsibilities extending across various locations in the southern region.


Key Responsibilities

The Site Operations Coordinator will be engaged on a full-time basis, overseeing site teams and subcontractors to ensure the successful execution of project tasks. The role includes:

  • Leading the management and scheduling of subcontracted labor.
  • Facilitating the delivery of extensive projects and refurbishment initiatives, including external wall insulation and roofing tasks.
  • Ensuring that all inspections are accurately documented using the required certification forms.


Project Oversight

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing clear and comprehensive work instructions to trades and subcontractors, aiming to optimize productivity.
  • Implementing and enforcing health and safety protocols.
  • Conducting random safety inspections on supply chain partners.
  • Performing quality assessments on all completed work.
  • Ensuring that all office equipment and machinery undergoes timely PAT testing.
  • Overseeing the welfare facilities available on-site.
  • Demonstrating experience in managing construction projects at a similar level.
  • Utilizing IT skills, particularly with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Holding a valid CSCS Card.
  • Possessing a full UK driving license and the willingness to travel regularly.


Desired Experience

Experience in social housing repairs and maintenance is essential, along with:

  • SMSTS certification.
  • A solid understanding of external wall insulation, roofing, and related construction projects.
