About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Lounge. As a key member of our kitchen team, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional food quality and service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the kitchen team to ensure seamless service delivery and high-quality food production.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement menu plans, kitchen procedures, and staff training programs.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and kitchen hygiene practices.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimize waste and optimize profitability.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of kitchen policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Participate in staff training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
  • Knowledge of kitchen operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff training.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
