About the Role:
We are seeking a talented Story Artist to join our team at ReDefine Originals, a UK-based animation studio. As a Story Artist, you will be responsible for creating engaging storyboards that bring our animated feature film to life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create high-quality storyboards that showcase the vision and style of the show
- Pitch storyboards to the Director, crew, and executives
- Address notes from the Director and Creative Supervisors
- Collaborate with creative department heads and production to review goals and vision for the storyboards
- Ensure that storyboards are completed on time and meet production schedule and guidelines
- Submit work that aligns with production and workflow guidelines requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of storyboard experience and/or training on an animated project
- Knowledge and experience with animation production pipeline a plus
- Proficiency in software and hardware including Cintiq, Toon Boon Storyboard Pro, and Photoshop
- Ability to align with the style and sensibility of the show
- Strong skills in comedy, action, emotional storytelling, and character interaction
- Strong staging, composition, and cinematography skills
- Ability to draw characters and environments on model within show style
- Ability to write clear and specific direction on storyboards
- Solid and consistent time-management skills

- Good communicator with good organizational skills
- A storyteller with a passion for animation
- Technically adept with proficiency in software and hardware
- Team-oriented with flexibility and adaptability
- Able to take direction and work collaboratively
